On 20 September, Sabereen News (KH — affiliated) alleged that Baghdad International Airport director Harith al-Obaidi assigned passenger-bridge repairs at high cost to companies linked to him despite qualified airport staff. It also alleged that spare parts were deliberately withheld to externalize repairs and that Omar Babis was admitted despite an earlier airport-entry ban connected to alleged deliberate disruptions while working for Biladi company.

“Baghdad International Airport director Harith al-Obaidi brought in companies to repair passenger boarding bridges at large cost despite qualified staff, deliberately withheld spare parts so repairs could be assigned to companies linked to him, and brought in Omar Babis despite an airport-entry ban for alleged deliberate disruptions while he worked for Biladi company.”
قيام مدير مطار بغداد الدولي المدعو "حارث العبيدي" بجلب شركات لاصلاح الجسور الهوائية وبمبالغ ضخمة برغم توفر كوادر مختصة... تعمد عدم توفير المواد الاحتياطية... لكي يعطي اصلاحها لشركات مرتبطة به... قام بجلب... عمر بابيس علماً ان هذا الشخص صادر بحقه منع دخول المطار لقيامه باعمال تعطيل متعمدة عندما كان يعمل مع شركة بلادي.
