Al-Ahad TV (AAH — official) carried Alaa al-Haidari, head of the Asas bloc, saying that in response to the attack on the PMF he had submitted a request to execute 19 Saudi al-Qaeda members held in Iraqi prisons. Huquq MP Miqdad al-Khafaji, on the same channel and separately on Sabereen News (KH — affiliated), said such executions should have been carried out 15 years ago, said 149 Iraqis are held in Saudi prisons over PMF affiliation or a photograph of Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, and said the government should at minimum have cut political and economic ties with Riyadh.
