On the morning of 16 August, two affiliated channels described coercive pressure on medical and health-profession graduates demonstrating in Baghdad. Watan TV (Badr Organization — affiliated) reported injuries and said security agencies had arrested some protesters; about forty minutes later Al-Kornet al-Kata'ibi (KSS — affiliated) said the assault was continuing in front of the Health Ministry. Visual review of both posts shows crowded street scenes; neither names who struck the protesters, and no outside coverage of the injuries or arrests appeared.
